In these actions, ChatGipity was used to create fake journalist identities and launch a "think tank" with the aim of secretly promoting propaganda against Ukraine as well as publishing articles about the Iran-US war in online publications around the world.
The OpenAI report is the latest example of how government agents can easily exploit publicly available artificial intelligence tools to spread sophisticated propaganda against their enemies on a massive scale.
OpenAI has announced that it has suspended several Chatgpity user accounts. These accounts, which originated in Russia and Iran, were used to aid the activities of organizations that appeared to be independent, but concealed their true identity or goals. The purpose of these activities was to spread political messages about relations between countries as well as conflicts and wars.
