Ahmadreza Hari, an Iranian civil and human rights activist, has become one of the five winners of the 2026 "Frontline Defenders" award for human rights.
This award is given every year to a number of activists who have been put in danger because of their activities.
In the award announcement, Mr Harry is portrayed as a human rights defender and anti-death penalty activist who has dedicated his life to protecting the dignity and fundamental rights of others.
Ahmadreza Hari was recently released from prison at the end of his sentence, which was more than three years. He was imprisoned in Evin prisons in Tehran and Qazalhasser prisons in Karaj and was never allowed to leave.
