As a result of the shooting and explosion in front of the police headquarters in the city of Gulshan in Sistan and Baluchistan, one person was killed and several were injured.

According to Iranian media, the Information Center of the Sistan and Balochistan Police issued a statement on Wednesday evening announcing that "following an explosion on the road, two police teams left the Gulshan Police Headquarters and subsequent shooting" by armed gunmen, one of these people was killed and several others were injured.

The Sistan and Balochistan police called this ground attack an "assassination".

No group has yet claimed responsibility for this ground attack.

The province of Sistan and Balochistan has long borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan and has long faced security challenges, including attacks by militia groups and conflicts with drug and goods smugglers. In recent weeks, militant armed clashes have increased in this district, resulting in many casualties.
