Donald Trump has again expressed interest in winning the Nobel Peace Prize
On the eve of the Nobel Peace Prize, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said again that he should win this prize, but he doubts that it will be given to him.
Regarding the 2026 prize, for which the Norwegian Nobel committee will announce the winner on Friday, Trump said: "I don't know what their decision will be. "They have a reputation that maybe they don't give this prize to people like me."
Since his return to the White House last year, Trump has repeatedly said he deserves to receive this award.
"The time has come," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. But last time I had the great honor of receiving it indirectly through its recipient. Someone who said: "No one in history deserves this award more than President Trump." Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado presented Trump with the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal in January as she sought US support for her political efforts in Venezuela.
Mr Trump's renewed interest in receiving a Nobel Peace Prize comes as he continues to fail to resolve Russia's war in Ukraine. The war he promised would end on the first day of his second term in the White House.
The U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran also led to seven months of attrition, disrupting global energy supplies and driving gasoline and diesel prices to unprecedented levels ahead of November's U.S. midterm elections.
Also, on the first day of this war, more than 120 students were killed in the Shajra Taiba Minab school due to the American missiles.
