Reuters: Lebanon's Hezbollah received $200 million from Tehran

The Reuters news agency said that "$200 million" was sent from Tehran to Lebanon's Hezbollah to help the Lebanese displaced by the war with Israel.

Reuters published the report citing two sources familiar with the transfer of the funds, but did not name or name them.

According to these people, Hezbollah received this money last month "in a situation where American economic pressure on Iran increased and the financial transfer to Hezbollah was facing increasing difficulties."

According to this report, brokers received a "20 percent" commission for transferring the money, which is "four times" the normal commission.

In response to Reuters, a Hezbollah official said that an amount had been promised and the schedule for its distribution would be announced in the coming days, but did not elaborate. Reuters said that by the time of publication of the report, Iran's Foreign Ministry, Iran's permanent mission in Geneva, the US State Department and the Lebanese government had not responded to its request for comment.
