The protests of students in France against the wear and tear of schools, the lack of teachers and the overcrowding of classes, which started almost 17 days ago in the Sensende area in the suburbs of Paris, continued today and led to the complete or partial closure of hundreds of schools.
French Education Minister Edouard Geoffret announced that at least 24 schools had been seriously damaged or burned in the unrest and would remain closed for a long time.
According to officials, this situation has affected the education of more than 30,000 students.
Meanwhile, the General Inspectorate of the French National Police has started an investigation into the accusation of extreme violence by the officers.
This investigation is carried out following reports about the severe injuries of protesters, including the amputation of a 15-year-old teenager's hand due to the explosion of a police grenade and the broken tooth of a 14-year-old student.
The French Ministry of Interior has announced that more than 6,500,000 people have been arrested in various cities including Paris, Marseille and Rennes, and a significant number of them are minors.
