Iran's interior minister: negotiations were underway with Qatar regarding Iranian pilots
We reported earlier that Iran's interior minister, Iskandar Momani, traveled to Doha to meet with Qatari officials.
Now, Mr. Momani said that negotiations were held with Qatar regarding the Iranian pilots and he continued without specifying details that "the technical committee was supposed to return and hold meetings in order to continue the work."
Iran says that at the start of the current war, which began with Israeli and US attacks on Iran on March 9, its two fighter jets targeted US interests in Qatar, but were instead targeted by a military ground attack.
Earlier, Iran announced that one of these four pilots was killed and his funeral ceremony was held, but the headquarters of the armed militant forces announced that the other three pilots were still alive and in captivity in Qatar.
Qatar rejected Iran's statements.
