J.D. Vance, the vice president of the United States, said that no definitive evidence had been obtained regarding Iran's role in the incident involving the Flydeby flight.
JD Vance spoke to reporters before boarding a plane to go to Alaska.
The Emirates Airlines plane, which was on its way from Dubai to Tel Aviv, last Wednesday about two hours after the start of the flight, sent an emergency signal over Jordan and changed direction and finally landed at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The Attorney General of the United Arab Emirates has previously said that the co-pilot on Flidby's flight intended an "assassination operation".
This is the first time that UAE authorities have officially described the incident as an "assassination".
