A vital bridge in Kiev was targeted by Russian drone attacks for the second day in a row.

The (southern) bridge was the target of a ground attack several times earlier this week.

This new ground attack was carried out at the same time as the unexpected visit of German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz to Kiev.

The Pionishni (Northern) Bridge, which is still standing, is one of the eight bridges that cross the Dnipro River and connect the eastern and western parts of the city. About half a million cars use these bridges every day.
