All B-1 bombers from Britain were redeployed to American soil

The Pentagon - the US Department of Defense - has confirmed that all B1 bombers of this country's air force have returned to the United States after leaving the British Praford base.

This news was first published by the Wall Street Journal, and an hour later, the Pentagon issued a statement confirming it, stating that:

"For security reasons, it was not possible to confirm the transfer of equipment and military forces at the same time, but now we can confirm that all the American bombers stationed at the Royal Air Force's Farford base have returned to their main bases in America."

The Pentagon's announcement on Sunday evening also emphasized: "The air forces responsible for the American bomber fleet, including B-1, B-2 and B-52 aircraft, are still fully prepared to carry out precision strikes around the world, including through operations that occur in flight and return aircraft from the Central American continent. This capability is available anywhere and anytime."

In its report, the Wall Street Journal assessed this action as "a withdrawal due to security concerns surrounding Farford Air Force Base." Last week, several suspects were detained in connection with what was initially called a "possible assassination plot" near him, but they were released on bail a short time later.
