🔻 Iranian Army: We are increasing the range and speed of our missiles

The Iranian military says it plans to increase the range and speed of its missiles.

Mohammad Akarmini, the spokesman for the Iranian army, said that this decision was made based on the experiences of the last war:

"The missiles we used during the war, mainly land force missiles aimed at enemy bases in Kuwait and naval cruise missiles aimed at enemy vessels, were very good and effective. However, we came to the conclusion that the speed and range of these missiles should be increased, because today the enemy is far from our shores, up to a thousand kilometers.

The "Abu Mahdi Mohandis" anti-ship cruise missile was unveiled in 2019 and is manufactured by Iran's Ministry of Defense. Its range is more than 1000 km and it was supplied to the Revolutionary Guards and the army.

In the army this missile is called "Talaya" and at the time of its unveiling it was described as "Iran's longest cruise missile".
