Public meetings of the Majles will be held in a new mechanism starting next week.
The spokesman for the presidency of the Iranian parliament says that public meetings of the parliament will be held "with a new mechanism" from next week.
Abbas Godarzi said that at the meeting of the parliament's presidency "based on the decision of the people, it was decided that the mechanism for holding meetings of the Salami Council will change starting next week:
"In the new model, the meetings will be held in the permanent location of the hall, and in addition there will also be webinar meetings."
Following the attacks by the United States and Israeli prisoners on Iran in March last year, the holding of Iranian parliament meetings in this parliament building and hall was stopped for security reasons.
In July of this year, with the approval of the Parliament's decision, the Guardian Council allowed virtual meetings of the Salami Council to be held "in emergency situations". According to this decision, in emergency situations or special situations of the country, if it is not possible for the representatives to attend and hold meetings in the permanent place of the parliament, the floor meetings can be held in another place outside Beharstan or online.
