A spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry said at a press conference: "The presence of the Foreign Minister in this higher committee, which is responsible for a detailed and comprehensive review of related issues, is proof of the full coordination of the diplomatic system with national security measures."

Massoud Pazhkian recently pointed to a "team of six people" that "has the authority to make decisions and the decisions are implemented in coordination between them."
