Iran's Foreign Minister says that "there is no military solution and no solution based on more sanctions" to resolve the country's conflict with America.

Abbas Araghchi said: "America has failed in the past in both war and diplomacy. Trying new sanction solutions will not help them."

Mr. Araghchi, speaking at a meeting with ambassadors and agents of international agencies based in Iran, added: "There is only a negotiated solution, based on justice and fairness, and a respectable and diplomatic solution that will be responsible and able to find the final solution to end this war and this illegal and unjust aggression that started against the Islamic Republic of Iran." Referring to the country's readiness to deal with a new round of American military attack, Iran's Foreign Minister said: "We hope that America will adopt the path of wisdom and rationality, but if they walk again towards military solutions, we are more prepared than before and will take any action necessary to defend ourselves."
