The increase in attacks on Sana'a and Houthi positions in Yemen after the ground attack on Aramco facilities
Yemeni government forces announced on Sunday that they are targeting Houthi positions across the country, a move that fuels the escalation of conflicts in one of the poorest countries in the world and in the region.
Majed al-Nazili, the Yemeni government's military spokesman, said that the militant armed forces carried out attacks against the Houthis in Sana'a (the capital), Saada province in the northwest (which is one of the main bases of this group) and Taiz city in the southwest.
These attacks took place hours after the Houthis accepted responsibility for a ground attack on an oil facility near the Saudi capital and at the same time accused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of carrying out dozens of airstrikes on Sana'a.
Since last month, after the Houthis captured the entire coastline of Yemen in the Red Sea and the Strait of Belmandab in Operation Barak, the two warring parties have attacked each other.
