🔻 Speaker of the Parliament's Health and Treatment Committee: Ending the disease in Iran is not a treatment; He is death
Referring to the shortage and high cost of medicines, a spokesman for the Health and Treatment Committee of the Iranian Parliament said, "The end of the disease is not treatment; it is death."
Salman Ishaghi told the Iranian Labor News Agency, ILNA: "I can tell you with certainty that providing medicine and raw materials for medicine has nothing to do with war."
He pointed to the import of luxury items such as the iPhone 18 and Tesla cars and asked: "Are we under siege and sanctions only in the field of medicine?"
He also mentioned the "100% profit" of some medical equipment companies and jumps during the war.
Mr. Ishagi also said that despite the possibility of importing drugs from Russia and China, there is no use in these countries.
The head of the Iranian Food and Drug Organization said last month that the price of drugs is due to the drop in the share of the preferred currency for importing drug items.
At the same time, the naval blockade of the United States made it difficult and slow to import goods, including medicines.
