Yemeni government forces say they have launched a ground attack on "important military targets" of the Houthis in Sana'a.
Yemeni government forces announced a ground attack on "important military targets" in Sana'a, the Houthi-controlled capital.
A spokesman for Yemen's government forces said that "militant armed forces are capable of strategic attacks on the Houthis."
A few hours later, reports were heard of several intense explosions in Sana'a, and the Houthi media reported on the airstrike in the capital.
The Houthis attributed these airstrikes to Saudi Arabia.
The media affiliated with the Yemeni government, which is supported by Saudi Arabia, said that the warplanes attacked the positions of the Houthis in Sana'a.
These media also announced the dispatch of additional auxiliary forces to Taiz province, which is a target for increased attacks by the Iran-allied Houthis.
