Two Iranians accused of planning a ground attack on Jews in Manchester have appeared in court
Two Iranian men accused of planning a ground attack on the Jewish community in Manchester appeared in court in London today.
This accusation was explained to Salam Ahmadian, 36 years old, and Rahman Salehi, 34 years old, two days ago.
British police said the two men "were in contact with a third person overseas who may be in Iran."
The two men were arrested almost a year after a deadly ground attack with a knife and weapons at a synagogue in Manchester where those present had gathered for Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
