North Korea launched a ballistic missile

South Korea and Japan announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile toward the waters off its eastern coast on Saturday.

This is the latest missile launch by this country this year.

The South Korean military announced in a statement that the missile was fired from the Wonsan area around 6:30 AM local time on Saturday and traveled a distance of more than 700 kilometers.

The statement also said that Seoul and Washington are discussing the details of the test.

Previously, South Korea accused the country of having its soldiers injured due to the explosion of North Korean landmines, an accusation that North Korea denied yesterday.
