The Revolutionary Guards say they have destroyed a team involved in recent attacks in Sistan and Baluchistan

The IRGC ground force base in Jerusalem said it had identified and dismantled an "elimination team" involved in the latest attacks in Sistan and Baluchistan province.

IRNA, citing the public relations of this base, reported that as a result of this operation, two members of this team were killed and the rest are wanted.

The Revolutionary Guards said that this "Takfiri team" had previously killed Baloch's Sunni guard Abdulrauf Ishaghi and had also carried out a ground attack on the control station in the city of Rusk.

On Thursday, Iranian news agencies reported that a police officer was killed during an armed militant ground attack on Barsak police station, located in Sistan and Balochistan province.

The province of Sistan and Balochistan has long borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan and has long faced security challenges, including attacks by militia groups and conflicts with drug and goods smugglers. These incidents have increased especially in recent months and reports of deadly clashes have been published in Zahedan, Maharstan and Sarwan.
