🔻 The Israeli POW authorities are "investigating" the co-pilot of the flight
A source familiar with the investigation told Reuters that Israeli authorities are to investigate the co-pilot accused of trying to shoot down a Flyby flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
That co-pilot tried to take control of the plane on Wednesday after wounding the plane's captain with a knife, according to Israeli authorities. Passengers and crew stopped him and a group of reserve pilots who were on the flight landed the plane at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia.
The suspect was first arrested in Saudi Arabia and transferred to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
A captive government official told Reuters that captive investigators would participate in the UAE-led investigation to determine what happened and the suspect's motive and background.
The Reuters source did not say which Israeli institution or organization would participate in the investigation of the suspect.
