In his election speech in Durant, Oklahoma, US President Donald Trump claimed for the first time that Iran's nuclear facilities, which were targeted by US B-2 bombers, were also drug production sites. He provided no evidence for this claim.

Mr. Trump, while recalling the US ground attack on these facilities, said the bombs penetrated what he called "drug factories" and emphasized that these centers "are both nuclear and drugs." He further referred to them as "pharmaceutical factories / cores".

This is the first time that Mr. Trump, in explaining the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, has linked them to drug production. So far, no American or other reliable independent source has announced that the nuclear facilities targeted in Iran are drug production sites.
