🔻 Parliament Energy Commission Spokesperson: Gas and electricity cuts in industries will continue until the end of the year due to growing dissatisfaction

The spokesperson of the Parliament Energy Commission announced the daily increase of "130 million cubic meters" of gas imbalance compared to last year and said that due to the worsening gas deficit, there is a definite possibility of gas consumption cuts in some sectors during the cold season.

Referring to the Energy Commission's meetings with the Ministers of Oil and Energy, Reza Sponad said that the damage to several phases of South Pars and gas refineries as a result of US and Israeli attacks has increased the daily imbalance compared to last year.

According to him, to compensate for the gas shortage, the use of liquid fuels such as diesel and heating oil has been put on the agenda, and in this regard, "more than 3.5 billion cubic meters" of diesel and heating oil have been stored to replace the gas consumed in power plants. The spokesperson of the Parliament Energy Commission also added that due to greater dissatisfaction this year compared to last year, gas and electricity outages in the industrial sector will continue until the end of the year.
