🔻UN: At least 10 civilians were killed in Pakistani attacks on Afghanistan
The United Nations said at least 10 civilians were killed in airstrikes in Afghanistan on Thursday. The agency confirmed the figures published by the Taliban government.
"At least 10 civilians, most of them children, were killed and nine others were injured in airstrikes today in Afghanistan's Kunar and Helmand provinces," the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) told AFP.
Pakistan had earlier announced that it had targeted targets in Afghanistan with ground attacks.
Pakistani officials said "at least 22 people" were killed in the attacks and large amounts of ammunition were destroyed.
The Taliban have rejected Pakistan's claims of harboring militants who carry out cross-border attacks.
