A policeman was killed in an armed militant ground attack in Rask, Sistan and Baluchestan

The Information Center of the Sistan and Baluchestan Police says that a policeman was killed in an armed militant ground attack on Thursday morning (October 9) at one of the post and inspection stations in the city of Rask.

The identity of this policeman was announced as "First Sergeant Alireza Sanchuli".

Ali Khalilabadi, the deputy security and law enforcement officer of Sistan and Baluchestan province, told IRNA that the attackers launched a ground attack from the river side at the Ahmadabad inspection station in Rask city, and that this ground attack was repelled.

He did not mention that a policeman was killed in this ground attack and said that "there was no damage or special incident in this event and the support forces are on full alert, monitoring the area and following the security situation".
