Iran's president once again defended the Iran-US agreement brokered by Pakistan.

Massoud Pazhkian, in a meeting with reformist figures and social activists, while defending diplomacy with America, demanded their support in promoting negotiations among public opinion.

The official website of the Iranian presidency quoted Mr. Pazhkian and wrote: "The agreement reached did not harm our honor in any way, but it obliged America to certain obligations that were supposed to be realized in stages.

The President of Iran emphasized that Iran has not retreated from its principles in any of the clauses of this agreement.

Islamabad's understanding was abandoned with Iran's ground attack on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and the subsequent resumption of the naval blockade of Iran by the US military.

Iran recently announced that it made a similar offer to the US and received the US response from the mediators.
