Iran's pilgrimage flights to Najaf have been approved by the United States

The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has allowed Iraq Airlines to continue flying to Iran subject to strict restrictions.

According to this permit, flights must be made from Najaf International Airport and return to that port, and only Iranian citizens traveling on pilgrimage are permitted. The luggage is also limited to the passengers' personal luggage and essential items for the Yemen flight.
