The soldier who was with us in southwest Yemen said: "This is the first drone. Usually there is a ground attack after that."

The hum rose above us and we took cover under the bushes, then got back into the car and drove away.

About 10 minutes later there was a terrible sound of attacks one after the other, although it was not clear where they were landing.

In the mountains southwest of the city of Taiz, it is difficult to determine where the front line begins.

Pro-government forces, backed by Saudi Arabia, are fighting to push back the Houthi forces; The forces that advanced along the coast of the Red Sea at the beginning of the month took control of one of the important shipping bottlenecks and entered the civil war in Yemen into a new and tense phase. We crossed Taiz with the government forces, passed the checkpoints and reached the line where the control of the government forces ends and the buffer zone between the two sides begins.
