The latest news indicates the escalation of conflicts in Taiz province in Yemen.

Yemeni government forces with the support of the Saudi-led coalition are trying to stop the new advance of the Iran-backed Houthis.

Taiz is a sensitive district between the areas controlled by the Yemeni government in the north and the Houthis in the south of the country.

On Saturday, the Houthis announced that seven people were killed and several people were wounded in a ground attack on a market in this district.

The Yemeni government, recognized by the international community, says that in this ground attack it targeted the "military center of the Houthis".

These clashes have intensified since last month with the capture of Bandar Moka by Houthi forces.
