A few minutes ago, while leaving the White House, the President of the United States told reporters:

"Once Iran surrenders and the war ends, which will happen soon, oil prices will drop."

Yesterday, Mr. Trump rejected Iran's offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

He told reporters: "I reject their proposals. They are failing miserably and that is why they want to make an agreement to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz."

Earlier, the "Wall Street Journal" reported, citing senior American officials, without naming names, that Donald Trump expects airstrikes in Iran to resume after the midterm elections.

Iranian authorities announced an offer to the United States that Tehran would open the Strait of Hormuz within seven days in exchange for the simultaneous implementation of seven conditions.
