Mohammad Bakr Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran's parliament and the country's chief negotiator since the start of the US-Iran conflict on February 28 (Isfand 9), has increasingly used English-language messages on Channel X to address American public opinion.

Especially since August, many of these announcements have been made using terms and literature common in the financial markets to argue that Scott Bessant, the US Treasury Secretary, and the Trump administration are unable to contain inflation and economic disruptions caused by this conflict.

Alongside familiar narratives about Iran's military capabilities and the country's leverage in the Strait of Hormuz, these posts appear to be aimed at highlighting the vulnerabilities of the American economy and questioning Washington's ability to manage energy prices and financial markets.
