America's representative to NATO: Trump did the right thing by rejecting Iran's seven-day offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Matthew Whittaker, the US representative to NATO, said Donald Trump did the right thing in rejecting Iran's seven-day-old offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Pointing out that Mr Trump has been very successful with the naval blockade and sanctions, Mr Whittaker said: "They [Iran] desperately want a deal."

He also said, "But these incomplete actions or the alleged agreements they offer to gain prestige in the world arena are not acceptable in any way."

This American diplomat also said about public concerns about the high price of oil and gasoline: "Finally, when this situation ends successfully, when these wars are resolved in favor of the United States and our allies, we will see an abundant supply of oil, gas, and diesel on the market, and this should happen as soon as possible."
