According to the reports published in the media, this incident happened in the area of Samanshahi Pass in the early morning hours of Mahar 4.

IRNA quoted Mehdi Mohammadpour, CEO of the South Khorasan Red Crescent Society, as saying that 14 people were injured in this accident, 9 people died and 5 people were injured.

Fars also quoted Mohammad Amir Kazmi, head of the South Khorasan Road Police, who said: "The bus was traveling from Shahid to Zabul and a trailer carrying arms was moving from Tehran to Birjand, and this incident occurred in the area of the village of Psouch."

He added: "The cause of this accident is under investigation and will be published after expert investigations are completed."
