European Union: The consequences of the Iran war caused Europe to face the energy price crisis

The European Union's energy commissioner says that the consequences of the Iran war on the oil and gas markets have caused the EU to face a "price crisis" caused by the energy supply crisis.

In a speech he gave to the energy ministers of the EU member states, Dan Jorgensen said that although Europe is now more prepared than in the winter of 2021, when Russia cut the gas supply to the continent, the governments must take additional measures for the upcoming winter.

He urged the member states to consider or continue measures that would help inject gas into storage tanks, as well as reduce the demand for gas and electricity, "as long as necessary."
