In a speech at the 80th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, Nawaf Salam, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, said that Lebanon faces three crucial challenges: restoring the trust of the people, granting a monopoly on weapons and making decisions about war and peace by the government, and recapturing all the occupied territories with their occupied lands on the Security Council again and expanding its sovereignty and its security agreement. 1701.

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister of Lebanon said that Lebanon should not be the scene of other people's conflicts and that Lebanon's future should not depend on the consent of other countries.

The Lebanese Prime Minister also said that the government's national sovereignty should be applied to the entire country. He emphasized the withdrawal of the captive forces from all Lebanese territory.
