Miliband to Iraqis: Britain will not tolerate hostile activities on its soil

British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqi that Britain "will not tolerate intimidation, threats or hostile activities on British soil."

These two ministers met and talked on the sidelines of the United Nations Assembly in New York.

Britain's Foreign Office announced that Mr. Miliband spoke with his Iranian counterpart about "Britain's firm determination to deal with threats from Iran-linked groups on its soil, including attacks against the British Jewish community." The two sides also talked about the war in the Middle East and a British couple detained in Iran. According to the announcement of the British Foreign Ministry, the American war with Iran was one of the other topics for discussion between the British and Iranian foreign ministers, and Mr. Miliband told the Iraqi Abbas that instead of "continuing the war, Iran should choose the path of de-escalation and diplomacy."
