The Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates approved on Thursday the suspension of all flights of Iranian airlines to and from the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates Civil Aviation's announcement states that this suspension is implemented from Thursday, October 2: "This suspension is based on US sanctions against Iranian airlines, sanctions that prevent these companies from using airport services around the world."

On Thursday, Iranian media announced the suspension of Emirates flights.

"Dubai, the business center of the Emirates, is one of the most important destinations for Iranian airlines, and there are several daily flights between Iran and Dubai," the AFP news agency announced. According to the AFP news agency, several other countries have also suspended flights to Iran, although routes to Turkey and China are still among the routes that have not been closed.
