Iranian students have returned to classes after months of school closures due to the war

More than 16 million Iranian students returned to classes today, the first day of the month, after months of school closures due to the war, and finished the first day of the new school year.

On the first day of the war, which began with simultaneous attacks by the United States and Israeli prisoners on March 9, a school was attacked in Minab in the Hormuzgan district, resulting in the death of 178 people, most of them children.

After the war the classes were closed.

Today in Minab, Hossein Afshin, Iran's vice president for science and technology, rang the bell of one of the elementary schools to announce the beginning of the new academic year.

This year, on the occasion of the new school year, a ceremony was held in the presence of Masoud Pazhkian, the president of Iran, two days earlier, before he left for New York to attend the UN General Assembly.
