🔻 Netanyahu criticized Emmanuel Macron who criticized the actions of Israel's captives in the West Bank

The Prime Minister of Israel criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for his criticism of Israel's actions in occupying the West Bank during his speech at the UN General Assembly.

Mr. Macron said that these operations are being carried out while Hamas is not active in the West Bank. But Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas had carried out many attacks in the region and described the words of the French president as "ridiculous, absurd".

Relations between France and the Israeli prisoners have been tense at times in recent years.

France's support for the two-state solution and criticism of the captive Israeli government for its actions in Gaza led to criticism of Israel's captive authorities.
