Lola da Silva: The Strait of Hormuz has become a battlefield

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva told the UN General Assembly that the Strait of Hormuz "has become a battlefield, while it should remain an essential passage for international trade."

According to him, families all over the world are paying for this situation by raising the prices of fuel, fertilizer and food.

Mr. de Silva also said that the United Nations had failed in one of its most important tasks, which was to free humanity from war, and "its credibility has never been so low."
