🔻 Pezeshkian departed for New York: We will firmly defend our positions

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, departed for New York to participate in the UN General Assembly.

Before flying to New York, Mr. Pezeshkian promised that he would "firmly defend Iran's positions" at this meeting.

Before leaving Iran, in a statement broadcast on state television, he said: "We left proud and this is a source of honor and pride for all of us. Therefore, we will firmly defend our positions in international forums."

Earlier we reported that Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, is in New York to participate in the General Assembly meeting, and upon his arrival he spoke on the phone with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
