Today is World Alzheimer's and Dementia Day. Alzheimer's is a fatal disease that begins with limited forgetfulness and eventually completely disrupts the affected person's memory and perception.

Between 8 and 12 billion dollars are spent every year to find ways to cure Alzheimer's.

Much progress has been made in this field, but there is still a long way to find an effective treatment.
