Iranian news agencies, including Pars and ISNA, reported that Mr. Selerzchi 'suddenly suffered a ground-level heart attack' during a visit to scientific and technological construction projects on the morning of September 28. These news agencies say that rescue team efforts were ineffective and he died due to a 'heart attack'.

Local sources, quoting his family and close associates, say that the news agencies 'reported the cause of death as a heart attack before the medical examiner's statement'. While rejecting the official news agencies' reports, they demanded a detailed investigation into the cause of death.

Local media, including Rased Blokhistan, Rasank, and Alosh, reported that Mr. Selerzchi's body, who visited the construction site in the park opposite Imam Ali Zedan Hospital, was found hanging by the caretaker in that site.
