🔻 Member of Parliament of Iran: The senior officials apparently do not agree with the withdrawal from Anfiti

Ahmed Bahshaish Ardestani, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, said that it is "unlikely" that senior officials in his country would agree with Iran's withdrawal from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

His statements came after a number of representatives presented to the Presidency of the Majles an urgent plan for Iran's withdrawal from Enfiti.

Mr. Kashkaish Ardestani said that withdrawing from the agreement could increase external pressure on Iran and jeopardize the support of China and Russia.

Mohsen Razai, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, also said that Iran is considering withdrawing from Enfiti, but the final decision has not yet been made.
