Iran's Intelligence Ministry said it carried out "preventive" operations in three districts

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence said it arrested a number of people in three districts in the "initial" operation. The detainees were described as a "core" linked to opposing groups.

The Ministry of Information's announcement states that these people intended to carry out an "elimination and destruction operation of economic infrastructure".

The Information Ministry says that a man accused of collaborating with opposition organizations was killed in a clash with the security forces in Piranshahr.

This organization added that it arrested several people in Kerman and Alborz provinces. No further details were provided.

He says this operation was done with "popular reports".

The Ministry of Information conducted this operation based on "public reports" and asked citizens to report "suspicious cases".
