CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper says the US military has moved more than a billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz in the past two months.

Mr. Cooper said in a video posted by the US military headquarters account on X that this "success" was achieved as a result of the coordinated protection and escort of more than 2,000 merchant ships.

According to him, the Strait of Hormuz has been cleared of mines and thousands of ships have passed through this waterway.

Referring to the "iron blockade" on the Strait of Hormuz, the Centcom commander also said that the oil exports of America's trading partners in the region were carried out while Iran could not transport a single barrel of its oil through the Strait of Hormuz.

In this video, he says that the oil transfer operation from the Strait of Hormuz will continue with the cooperation and coordination of the US with the six bordering countries in the Persian Gulf, shipping companies and marine transport insurance institutions. Mr. Cooper emphasized that the amount of oil, gas and goods passing through the Strait of Hormuz in the last two weeks reached the highest level in the last six months.
