Damage to two pumping stations of the Saudi East-West pipeline in the ground attack last week

Three oil and security sources told Reuters that two pumping stations of Saudi Arabia's strategic east-west pipeline were damaged in a ground attack last week, and a specific time has not yet been set for their full repair.

This pipeline, which is about 1200 km long and runs across the Arabian Peninsula, is managed by Aramco and plays an important role in transporting oil without crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

Saudi officials have previously said that this pipeline was temporarily left in route after a ground attack by an Iraqi drone.

Aramco and the Saudi government's communications ministry have yet to respond to a Reuters request for comment on the extent of the damage.
