The Iranian film "The Accused Showed No Remorse" directed by Ramin Soltani won the best film award of the 3rd International Short Film Festival "Women, Life, Liberation".
Hossein Khandan, a film worker and one of the organizers of the festival, told BBC Farsi that out of 20 films nominated in four categories, five films were chosen as winners.
The film "Body" directed by Ashkan Ahmadi from Iran won the fiction category. "Innocent Prisoner" directed by Makrand Lakshmikant Joshi from India won the award in the animation category, "Vasca; The Jungle is my family" directed by Nina Gulinga from Ecuador won the documentary category, and the film "Women" directed by Edita Braun from Austria won the experimental category. Mohammad Ali Bahaboudi, a German theater, television and film actor and one of the organizers of the festival in Cologne, told BBC Farsi that this festival has become more international in the last three years and the purpose of holding it in different cities is to connect with audiences beyond the Iranian community abroad.
This festival will take place between September 16 and 21.
