America asked its citizens to "reconsider" their trip to Saudi Arabia

The American Embassy and Consulate in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in a statement it published asked the citizens of the United States to "reconsider" their trip to Saudi Arabia.

This embassy cited the reason for this warning as "targeting of American interests by Iran's drones and missiles, militant armed conflicts, assassination, travel bans and local laws related to social media activity."

This message also states that some areas in Saudi Arabia are more dangerous.

The US embassy and consulate in Riyadh also advised its citizens not to travel to the Saudi border with Yemen "due to the threat of assassination".

The Houthis have been involved in new battles with Yemeni government forces, backed by Saudi Arabia, since the rekindling of Yemen's civil war in July. This group also declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia and targeted the country's ships in the Red Sea.
