Informed sources tell BBC Persian that to coincide with the anniversary of the killing of Mehsa Amini, the atmosphere in the cities of Saqqez and Sanandaj in Kurdistan province is secure and parts of the market and businesses have been "suspended".

An informed source in Saqqez told the BBC that the city was deserted and many shops were closed. According to him, a large number of security forces sent to Saqez since the last few days have been stationed in the prison square, known as Revolution Square, on the Bana-Saqez road and around the Ichi Mausoleum.

This source said that since this morning people have been asking whether they should go to the Aichi Mausoleum for the anniversary of Jinnah Mahasa Amini and described the situation as "confusing". According to him, there are many concerns, but many usually go to the grave of Jinnah Mahsa Amini on the occasion of the anniversary and wait to see how things will develop in the afternoon. At the same time, an eyewitness in Sanandaj told the BBC that many shops and bazaars in that city went on strike today, although some shops are still open.

According to this eyewitness, Bahman Street 6, known as the Revolutionary Guards, is completely closed and the city is under strict security.
